Aishwary and Manini Shine at National Rifle Trials

Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar and Manini Kaushik excelled on the first day of Rifle/Pistol National Selection Trials, topping the men's and women's 50m rifle 3P events. Manini won the women's 50m rifle prone T1 with a score of 625.0. Aishwary led the men's 50m rifle prone Trials 1 with 629.6.

Both athletes showcased dominance in their respective categories, with Aishwary leading the men's 50m rifle prone Trials 1 and Manini excelling in the women's 50m rifle prone T1 category.

Manini's victory came with an impressive total of 625.0, built steadily across her series performances. Karnataka's Tilottama Sen followed closely in second place, while Kerala's Vidarsa K Vinod secured third position. The competition remained fierce, evidenced by the slim margins that separated the subsequent finishes.

In the men's category, Aishwary not only topped but created a substantial lead with a score of 629.6. Former world champion Akhil Sheoran and current national champion Swapnil Kusale rounded out the top three. In the 25m Rapid Fire Pistol event, Omkar Singh leads after the initial stage. Finals for multiple events are scheduled for Tuesday.
