Delhi Capitals captain Jemimah Rodrigues has chosen to field first against the Mumbai Indians in their crucial Women's Premier League (WPL) encounter. Scheduled as the 13th match of the tournament, the game sees Mumbai Indians positioned second, boasting two wins out of five matches.

Despite placing second, the Mumbai Indians, led by Harmanpreet Kaur, face a setback with the absence of wicketkeeper-batter G Kamalini due to injury. The WPL officially announced her unavailability on Tuesday, leading to Vaishnavi Sharma's inclusion as her replacement.

In contrast, the Delhi Capitals are struggling at the tournament's bottom with a single win. As Mumbai aims to consolidate their position, their new recruit Sharma, costing Rs 30 lakh, brings her experience from India's U19 Women's T20 World Cup victory.
