Lionel Messi, the renowned soccer star, is entangled in legal battles after a Miami-based event promoter filed a lawsuit against him. The lawsuit claims that Messi breached a contract by failing to participate in an exhibition match, as per court records filed on March 31.
VID Music Group accuses Messi and the Argentine Football Association (AFA) of fraud and breach of contract. They allege that Messi conspired with sports executive Julian Marcos Kapelan, leading VID to enter contracts under deceitful conditions.
The lawsuit highlights Messi's absence from Argentina's victory over Venezuela, stating that his participation was pivotal for the matches' commercial success. Despite this, Messi played two days later for Inter Miami, intensifying the legal dispute.
