India's Junior Shooters Shine at ISSF World Cup

India's junior shooting team put on an impressive performance at the ISSF Junior Shooting World Cup, topping the medal table with a total of 16 medals. Among the standout performances were Hemant Burman, who clinched silver in the men's 50m rifle 3 positions, and the duo of Zuhair Khan and Addya Katyal, who snatched bronze in the trap mixed team event.

The competition saw Burman secure second place with a final score of 351.7. Despite qualifying in seventh place, he excelled in the finals to take silver. Meanwhile, Kazakhstan's Oleg Noskov made history with a world junior record score of 355.6 to win gold, and Uzbekistan's Nikita Solokov took bronze.

In the trap mixed team event, Zuhair Khan and Addya Katyal started strong but fell to third in the final series. Their effort earned them a bronze medal with a final score of 19. The Indian junior athletes now turn their attention to the upcoming ISSF Junior World Championship in Germany this June.
