Heading the new interim committee is Eran Wickramaratne, former state minister and businessman, who has laid out plans for a comprehensive overhaul of the governance structures within Sri Lanka Cricket. Wickramaratne emphasized the need for a new constitution to enhance management transparency.

The committee features prominent names from cricket history, including former Sri Lankan captain Kumar Sangakkara, who is currently a director for the IPL's Rajasthan Royals, and Roshan Mahanama, a seasoned cricket administrator. Their experience is expected to bring a new era of accountability and efficiency to the board.
