Haryana Dominates U17 National Wrestling Championships 2026

Haryana excelled in the U17 National Wrestling Championships 2026, winning both women's and freestyle events, while Services Sports Control Board topped in Greco-Roman. Haryana amassed points across categories, showcasing their wrestling prowess. Kerala and other states also shone with their performances during the three-day competition at Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar.

Haryana showcased their dominance in the U17 National Wrestling Championships 2026 by clinching top honors in both women's and freestyle wrestling events. The Services Sports Control Board (SSCB) led in the Greco-Roman format, as the three-day event concluded on Thursday at Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar.

With an impressive 215 points, Haryana claimed the Women's Wrestling title and added the Freestyle crown with 205 points. The SSCB, demonstrating significant strength in the Greco-Roman category, ended the competition with 136 points. Kerala emerged victorious in the 71 kg category against a Delhi opponent, and states like Telangana, Karnataka, and Jammu & Kashmir also stood out with strong performances.

Notably, Haryana's wrestlers secured multiple golds, highlighting their depth and talent. Standout performances included wins by Kasturi Sahadev, Diksha, Rohini, Nikita and others. In freestyle, Haryana's Abhinav, Sahil, Anuj, and Arush Rana were among the gold medalists, while the SSCB's consistent showing in Greco-Roman ensured their top position.
