Athletes: Champions of Change at Wushu Championship

The Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha, urges athletes to champion the 'Nasha Mukt Abhiyaan' at the All India Inter-University Wushu Championship. The event, held at the University of Kashmir, aims to inspire youth to shun drugs and embrace sports for unity, discipline, and national integration.

In a call to action, Jammu and Kashmir's Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha urged athletes to serve as ambassadors of the 'Nasha Mukt Abhiyaan' during the opening ceremony of the All India Inter-University Wushu Championship.

Held at the University of Kashmir, Sinha highlighted the importance of athletes as role models for India's youth. He encouraged them to utilize social media platforms to create awareness against substance abuse, promoting sports and creative activities instead.

Sinha also acknowledged the championship not merely as a sporting event but a celebration of 'Ek Bharat Shreshth Bharat', emphasizing unity in diversity, excellence, and national integration. The event includes participation from over 150 universities and more than 1,000 athletes, showcasing the inclusivity and growing popularity of wushu.
