Ojas Deotale Leads India's Archery Surge
Ojas Deotale spearheaded India's men's compound archery team to a top-10 finish at the Archery World Cup Stage 2. Deotale shot 711 points, while the women's team secured the fifth seeding. Deotale and Aditi Swami also secured the sixth seeding in the mixed team event.
In an impressive display of archery prowess, former world champion Ojas Deotale led India's men's compound team to a top-10 finish during the qualifying round of the Archery World Cup Stage 2.
Deotale, who recently claimed the title as India's inaugural male world champion by winning the 2023 World Archery Championships, demonstrated his exceptional skill by shooting 711 points, securing the seventh place overall. This stellar performance set a strong foundation for the Indian team's effort.
The women's compound section saw strong performances as well, with former world champion Aditi Swami finishing 13th with 700 points, contributing to India's fifth seeding in the team event. Deotale and Swami will also represent the country in the compound mixed team event, achieving sixth seeding.
