Delhi Capitals' head coach Hemang Badani has addressed the urgent need for his team to improve their performance after their recent eight-wicket loss to Chennai Super Kings. In his post-match reflections, Badani highlighted the performances of pivotal players like Kuldeep Yadav and captain Axar Patel while underscoring the critical role of team unity in the closing stretch of the season.

Discussing Kuldeep Yadav’s current form, Badani noted that the talented left-arm spinner has yet to find his rhythm. He reassured fans that though Yadav has not been bowling at his usual pace, it's just a matter of time before he hits his peak. Despite the challenges, the coach maintains faith in Yadav’s abilities to contribute significantly on the field.

With the playoffs looming, Badani understands the gravity of the situation, stating, “It’s crunch time now; winning all four remaining games is crucial for qualification hopes.” He also commended skipper Axar Patel's stellar performance, particularly with the ball, as he delivered an economical spell that yielded only 24 runs in four overs.

Badani emphasized the necessity for improvement across the board, citing collective responsibility rather than individual blame. He pointed out past games where the team couldn’t defend high scores or narrowly lost, stressing the need for better overall performances. Highlighting inconsistencies, he mentioned that maintaining a balanced team effort is critical at this level of competition.

For the Capitals, every game now carries significant weight, with Badani insisting that the path ahead is clear: “Win four out of four.” The recent defeat saw CSK chase down 156 with ease, thanks to Sanju Samson’s superb unbeaten knock and Kartik Sharma’s supporting innings, which now places CSK in a competitive position on the points table.
