Guntas Kaur Sandhu Leads India's Charge at Queen Sirikit Cup
Guntas Kaur Sandhu, a prominent young golfer from Chandigarh, is set to lead the Indian team at the Queen Sirikit Cup in Indonesia. The Asia-Pacific amateur team championship will see participation from 15 countries, including defending champions South Korea. Guntas Kaur Sandhu, a talented young golfer from India, is poised to lead her country's team at the prestigious Queen Sirikit Cup in Indonesia. The tournament, organized by the Asia-Pacific Golf Confederation (APGC) in partnership with The R&A, will feature 15 competing nations, including reigning champions South Korea.
India's team, announced by the Indian Golf Union (IGU), includes Sandhu, who has shown remarkable consistency over the past seasons, winning six times and securing 17 top-10 finishes from 20 starts in the 2025-26 IGU season. Her teammates include Ceerat Kang from Haryana and Keya Badugu from Delhi.
The Queen Sirikit Cup, also known as the Amateur Ladies Asia-Pacific Invitational Golf Team Championship, inaugurated in 1979, welcomes India's continuous participation since its inception. The championship involves teams of three players, with the best two daily scores contributing to the team's total. The winning team earns an exemption into The R&A Girls Amateur Championship.
