India's campaign at the World Table Tennis Team Championships came to a disappointing end as both men's and women's teams exited in the round of 32.
Despite efforts from star player Manika Batra, who won a singles match against American Reyes Jessica, the women's team ultimately succumbed to a 1-3 loss to the USA.
The men's team faced a similar fate, falling to Austria on Tuesday. The games were closely contested, but India's hopes were dashed when Manika lost her second singles match against Moyland Sally.
