UEFA's Lineup of Star Referees for European Finals
UEFA announced the referees for major European football finals in May. Daniel Siebert will officiate the Champions League final between Arsenal and Paris St Germain. Francois Letexier will oversee the Europa League final between Freiburg and Aston Villa, while Maurizio Mariani will referee the Conference League final. Tess Olofsson will referee the Women's Champions League final.
UEFA has revealed its roster of referees for the major European football finals this month. Daniel Siebert from Germany has been appointed to officiate the Champions League showdown between Arsenal and Paris St Germain on May 30. Siebert previously took charge during Arsenal's semi-final clash against Atletico Madrid.
Meanwhile, French referee Francois Letexier, who officiated at the Euro 2024 final, will handle the Europa League final between Freiburg and Aston Villa on May 20. For the Conference League final a week later, Italian Maurizio Mariani will be in charge as Crystal Palace faces Rayo Vallecano. UEFA has also assigned two compatriot assistants for each referee in these matches.
In the Women's Champions League, Sweden's Tess Olofsson has the responsibility of overseeing the final between Barcelona and Olympique Lyonnais on May 23. This lineup underscores UEFA's commitment to bringing experienced officials to the pinnacle of European club football.
