Minerva Academy FC emerged victorious in the AIFF Sub-Junior League 2025-26 final, defeating Classic Football Academy 4-1 at FC Madras in Mahabalipuram. Goals from Khutheipham Muktar Rehman, Ngayaiza Zingyo, Rimoson Singh Huidrom, and Khumanthem Lanchenba Meitei sealed the win, avenging last year's final defeat.

In an impressive display, Minerva Academy FC secured the AIFF Sub-Junior League 2025-26 championship title with a resounding 4-1 victory over Classic Football Academy on Wednesday. The final, hosted at Scamper Park, FC Madras in Mahabalipuram, saw Minerva Academy reclaim their glory after narrowly missing out in last year's edition.

Khutheipham Muktar Rehman opened the scoring for Minerva in the eighth minute with an 'olimpico', an extraordinary goal directly from a corner kick. Ngayaiza Zingyo capitalized on his opportunity in the 27th minute, slotting a powerful strike past the opposing goalkeeper, followed soon by a long-range effort from captain Rimoson Singh Huidrom.

Despite a header from Classic Football Academy's Ngangom Suman Singh narrowing the gap in the 70th minute, Minerva maintained their dominance on the field. Khumanthem Lanchenba Meitei sealed the decisive win with a composed penalty in added time, ensuring Minerva Academy FC emerged champions after a formidable tournament display.
