Defending champions Abhay Singh and Velavan Senthilkumar progressed dominantly in the men's doubles at the 3rd HCL National Doubles Squash Championships, defeating Shubham and Vedant Patel with an 11-4, 11-2 scoreline. This victory marks a robust start to their title defense campaign.
In women's doubles action, Joshna Chinappa and Rathika Seelan emerged victorious in their group match against Sahana Kalaivanan and Sangamitra Shanmugham, winning 11-2, 11-7 decisively. The competition saw numerous intense matches as players battled for a place in the next rounds.
The mixed doubles quarters were equally exciting, with the pair of Velavan Senthilkumar and Joshna Chinappa winning their match against Roshan Rajkumar and Sahana Kalaivanan comfortably at 11-4, 11-5. Abhay Singh, partnered with Rathika Seelan, also made a strong showing, coming from behind to win their match 10-12, 11-8, 11-9.
