Pakistani Bowlers Shine as Abbas Topples Bangladesh Early
Pace bowler Mohammad Abbas delivered an exceptional performance, claiming 2-22, as Pakistan limited Bangladesh to 101-3 by lunch on Day 1 of the second cricket test. Bangladesh had earlier defeated Pakistan in the first test. The game saw significant contributions from both debutants and seasoned players.
In a fierce start to the second cricket test, Pakistan's pace bowler Mohammad Abbas claimed 2-22 and left Bangladesh struggling at 101-3 by lunch. The aggressive start came just days after Bangladesh secured a 104-run victory against Pakistan in Dhaka.
Abbas struck swiftly, dismissing opener Mahmudul Hasan for a duck in the very first over. Debutant Tanzid Hasan, however, offered resistance, temporarily stabilizing the innings with Mominul Haque with a 44-run partnership.
Mominul's dismissal for 22, bowled by Khurram Shahzad, left Bangladesh at 63-3, before Najmul Hossain Shanto and Mushfiqur Rahim steadied the ship by lunch. Meanwhile, Pakistan's lineup was bolstered by the return of star batter Babar Azam post-injury.
