AC Milan announced on Monday the dismissal of manager Massimiliano Allegri following a poor season-end performance deemed an 'unequivocal failure' by the club's owners. With a fifth-place Serie A finish, the team missed out on a Champions League spot.

In a comprehensive overhaul, senior executives including Giorgio Furlani, Igli Tare, and Geoffrey Moncada have also exited, part of a restructuring initiative for next season. Despite a promising start, the club concluded the season with a 2-1 loss to Cagliari, winning only one of their last four matches.

The departure of Allegri, who returned for a second spell this season, reflects a broader shake-up by new owners RedBird Capital Partners. Known for decisive actions, the U.S.-based group aims to revitalize AC Milan's soccer operations, as seen in previous executive changes.
