The Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) has decided to keep Laxmi Ratan Shukla as the head coach for its Ranji Trophy team, with Surendra Bhave joining as the deputy for the upcoming 2026-27 domestic season.
Despite speculation that CAB might replace Shukla after inviting applications for various coaching roles, the association has reaffirmed its commitment to transparency by involving an independent panel for candidate evaluation. Meanwhile, former Indian cricketer Manoj Tiwary will begin his coaching career with the U19 team.
Legendary Bengal cricketer Anustup Majumdar retires to take on the role of U16 head coach, following an illustrious 22-year career. Former wicketkeeper Wriddhiman Saha continues to serve as the U23 head coach.
