In conversations with JT Batson, CEO of the US Soccer Federation, Pochettino expressed a willingness to continue under certain conditions. During a dinner meeting in New York, the coach learned about the federation's intentions for the coming years—information he previously lacked. While flattered to be linked to prominent clubs, Pochettino stressed that such exchanges are routine for representatives in search of optimal future engagements.

Amidst these considerations, Pochettino remains focused on current preparations, including finalizing his World Cup lineup. Concurrently, USSF's roles and strategies are under review following staff changes, with different approaches anticipated for men’s and women’s programs globally.
