In an electrifying IPL Qualifier Two match, skipper Shubman Gill's century propelled Gujarat Titans to a memorable victory against Rajasthan Royals, securing a spot in the final against Royal Challengers Bengaluru.
Rajasthan, batting first, posted a challenging total of 214/6, thanks to a stellar 96-run inning by 15-year-old Vaibhav Sooryavanshi and a blitz from Donovan Ferreira. However, Gujarat's chase was powered by a 167-run stand between Gill and Sai Sudharsan, achieving the target with 18.4 overs.
The match began with a rocky start for Rajasthan as GT's pace attack, led by Mohammed Siraj and Kagiso Rabada, took early wickets. Despite the early setbacks, Sooryavanshi and Ferreira ensured a competitive score, but Gill's commanding performance sealed the victory for Gujarat.
