AS Monaco has decided to terminate its collaboration with manager Sebastien Pocognoli after the team concluded the 2025-2026 season in seventh place, missing out on the Champions League.

Pocognoli, formerly of Belgium's national team and Union Saint-Gilloise, joined the French side in October, following the departure of Adi Hutter. Despite a strong start with a 10-match unbeaten run, the team couldn't maintain their momentum for a higher finish.

Under Pocognoli's guidance, Monaco reached the Champions League playoffs but were eliminated by eventual winners Paris St Germain. The club expressed gratitude for Pocognoli's contributions and wished him success in his future endeavors.
