During the event, he shared his insights on the evolution of the game's most traditional format, Test cricket.

Ashwin emphasized the need for players to earn their spots in Test cricket through first-class performances. He addressed the challenges faced by cricketers who aspire for a spot in the national Test team amidst India's vast cricketing talent pool. "How do we motivate these players to invest 15 to 20 years in first-class cricket amid lifestyle sacrifices and financial pressures?" he questioned.

Speaking on the adaptation required in modern cricket, Ashwin highlighted that both batters and bowlers need to become problem-solvers, adjusting ball by ball. He concluded his illustrious career in 2024 with 765 international wickets, leaving a remarkable legacy with his unique achievements in Test cricket alongside his all-rounder prowess.
