KL Rahul and Sai Sudharsan's fluent partnership guided India to 96/1 at lunch on Day 1 against Afghanistan in the One-Off Test at New Chandigarh. The duo added 55 runs for the second wicket before the break, with Rahul and Sudharsan remaining unbeaten at the crease.
In a promising start to the One-Off Test against Afghanistan, Indian cricketers KL Rahul and Sai Sudharsan spearheaded the team to 96/1 by lunch on Day 1 at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in New Chandigarh. The duo's partnership yielded 55 runs, providing a stable platform for the host team.
Opening batsmen KL Rahul and Yashasvi Jaiswal initiated India's innings with a steady approach. Jaiswal made an impactful start by driving Ziaur Rahman Sharifi to the boundary in the first over, setting a positive tone for the innings.
Afghanistan, however, maintained rigorous bowling, constraining the Indian batsmen's abilities to score freely. The visitors claimed an early breakthrough as Mohammad Saleem Safi dismissed Jaiswal for 24 with a catch behind the wicket, marking Afghanistan's first success in the final ball of the 12th over.
