Kimi Antonelli demonstrated his prowess by setting the fastest time during the third practice session for the Monaco Grand Prix on Saturday. His performance in the Mercedes eclipsed that of Ferrari's Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton, who previously dominated Friday's sessions.

The 19-year-old Italian secured a time of one minute 12.720 seconds on the challenging street circuit. Antonelli, who was 18th in last year's Monaco race, now leads the championship by 43 points over teammate George Russell, thanks to victories in the last four races.

With qualifying later on Saturday, the battle for pole position is expected to intensify among Ferrari, Mercedes, and Red Bull drivers. Notably, Max Verstappen was fifth fastest in practice despite interruptions caused by Oliver Bearman's crash, while Lando Norris managed to return to the track after overcoming mechanical problems with his McLaren.
