In a strategic move to ensure continued success, the Algerian football federation has extended the contract of national team coach Vladimir Petkovic and his technical staff until 2028.
Petkovic, who took over in February 2024, has been instrumental in turning the team's fortunes around, leading them to an impressive record of 21 wins, four draws, and only three losses in 28 matches.
This period also saw Algeria qualify for the 2026 World Cup and achieve significant progress in the FIFA world rankings, setting the stage for an ambitious campaign starting with a match against Argentina.
