Lando Norris Shines in Barcelona Practice with McLaren Domination
Lando Norris propelled McLaren to the top at the Barcelona-Catalunya Grand Prix practice, surpassing Mercedes' George Russell by a narrow margin. Norris posted the fastest lap after sitting out the initial session. With other notable performances from Piastri, Leclerc, and Hamilton, the session set a competitive tone for the weekend.
Formula One champion Lando Norris led the practice timesheets at the Barcelona-Catalunya Grand Prix, putting McLaren on top. He narrowly outpaced Mercedes' George Russell, who had shown strong performance in recent times.
Norris set the fastest lap with a time of 1:15.426, after not participating in the first practice session. McLaren's Oscar Piastri came third, while Ferrari's Charles Leclerc finished fourth. Russell showed promise with his performance, though he is recovering from two disappointing races.
Mercedes' Kimi Antonelli, who also skipped the initial session, aimed for another victory. Meanwhile, other key racers included Red Bull's Max Verstappen and Racing Bulls' Arvid Lindblad. Lewis Hamilton, a significant championship contender, finished ninth, lagging 66 points behind Antonelli in the standings.
