Lewis Hamilton claimed a momentous victory at the Barcelona-Catalunya Grand Prix on Sunday, marking Ferrari's first win in nearly two years and ending a five-race winning streak by Kimi Antonelli. At 41, Hamilton became Formula One's oldest victor since Jack Brabham in 1970.
The win was Hamilton's seventh at the Circuit de Catalunya and his 106th career victory. A seasoned competitor, his last win was in 2024 at Belgium while racing for Mercedes. Antonelli retired five laps from the end due to an electrical issue, slashing his lead over Hamilton to 41 points.
Securing his first victory since joining Ferrari, Hamilton's win was also historic as it featured the first all-British podium since 1968. Despite a setback for Mercedes, George Russell and Lando Norris finished second and third, respectively. Hamilton remains focused, determined to close the gap with Mercedes.
