The Seattle Seahawks are signing kicker Jason Myers to a four-year contract worth about $16 million, ESPN reported Wednesday. Myers made 33 of 36 field-goal attempts and 30 of 33 extra-point attempts and was selected to the Pro Bowl in his only season with the New York Jets in 2018.
Myers, 27, said farewell to Jets fans on Twitter earlier Wednesday. Myers, who spent three seasons with the Jacksonville Jaguars from 2015-17, has hit 84.3 per cent of field-goal attempts and 87.6 percent of PATs in his career. He replaces 41-year-old Sebastian Janikowski in Seattle.
Janikowski converted 22 of 27 field goals and 48 of 51 extra points with the Seahawks last season.
