Indian squad ready to take on World Cup 2019, final list released

The Indian squad for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 will be announced in a few hours. The national selectors will meet in Mumbai to pick the squad for the upcoming mega cricket event.

India is likely to stick to most of the ODI squad they have fielded over the recent months, in the ODI series against Australia and New Zealand, but we are expecting some surprises in the final list.

Former cricketers have already picked their line-up for the marquee event to be held in England, starting May 30.

Team:

Virat Kohli (Captain)

Rohit Sharma (Vice Captain)

Shikhar Dhawan

KL Rahul

Kedar Jadhav

MS Dhoni (wk)

Dinesh Karthik (wk)

Vijay Shankar

Hardik Pandya

Ravindra Jadeja

Kuldeep Yadav

Yuzvendra Chahal

Bhuvneshwar Kumar

Mohammed Shami

Jasprit Bumrah

Defending the decision to select Dinesh Karthik over Rishab Pant, BCCI Chairman of Selectors MSK Prasad said that Karthik was favoured because of his experience of big-match wicket-keeping.
