India extended their unblemished World Cup record against Pakistan after Rohit Sharma's century and tidy bowling secured their 89-run victory via the Duckworth-Lewis method in the tournament's most anticipated group match on Sunday.
Having lost the toss and put to bat first by Pakistan captain Sarfaraz Ahmed, India posted a commanding 336-5, with Rohit Sharma (140) smashing his second century of the tournament. And soon after India's victory, screenshots of tweets by Pakistani PM Imran Khan started going viral in which he suggested Sarfaraz to bat first if he wins the toss, in case the pitch isn't damp.
The tweets were genuine, Imran Khan did offer advice to Pakistani team before the match through Twitter.
4/5 1. In order ro have a winning offensive strategy Sarfaraz must go in with specialist batsmen and bowlers because "Raillu Kattas" rarely perform under pressure - especially the intense kind that will be generated today. 2. Unless pitch is damp, Sarfaraz must win the toss & bat

And the decision to bat first could've definitely impacted the outcome of the match. Did Sarfaraz ignore Imran Khan's advice or wasn't aware of it? That will only be clear if he decides to comment on it.
Meanwhile, India's astonishing victory in the marquee match brought cheer to cricket-loving fans across the country.
