Eagle at the last gives 20-year-old Wolff first PGA Tour win

Matthew Wolff eagled the final hole to claim the 3M Open on Sunday and become the youngest winner on the PGA Tour since Jordan Spieth in 2013. The 20-year-old Californian rolled in a 26-foot putt from the fringe for a one-stroke victory over Bryson DeChambeau and Collin Morikawa in Blaine, Minnesota.

Feng wins Thornberry Creek Classic with late birdie surge

China’s Shanshan Feng birdied four of her final six holes to card a nine-under-par 63 and win the Thornberry Creek LPGA Classic by one shot from Ariya Jutanugarn on Sunday. Ariya (64) had a three-shot lead on the back nine but a bogey on 15 proved costly as the Thai was unable to hold off the charging Feng, who finished on 29-under 259.

Rapinoe and Lavelle give the U.S. fourth World Cup title

The United States claimed a record-extending fourth women's World Cup with a 2-0 win over European champions the Netherlands thanks to goals by Megan Rapinoe and Rose Lavelle on Sunday. Rapinoe broke the deadlock with a 61st-minute VAR-awarded penalty before Lavelle rounded off the victory eight minutes later with a left-foot effort from just inside the area as the U.S. added to their 1991, 1999 and 2015 titles.

Murray confident of return to top of men's tennis

Former world number one Andy Murray has been buoyed by his return to tennis after career-saving hip surgery and is confident he can retake his place among the men's elite. The 32-year-old, who has been playing doubles since his return from hip resurfacing surgery in January, had said ahead of the Australian Open that his career was likely over as he struggled with severe pain.

The Brooklyn Nets officially added forward Kevin Durant on Sunday, announcing his arrival as part of a sign-and-trade deal with the Golden State Warriors a week after the 10-time All-Star announced his intentions to join Brooklyn. "Kevin is a champion, perennial All-Star and one of the great players of this, or any, generation," general manager Sean Marks said in a statement. "Adding a player of Kevin's caliber to our organization elevates our ability to compete with the elite teams in this league. His tremendous abilities and dedication to his craft have made him as talented an offensive player our game has ever seen and we, as well as all of Brooklyn, are thrilled to welcome Kevin and his family to the Nets." Astros top Angels; Lucroy sent to hospital

Yuli Gurriel ran his hitting streak to 11 games with a game-tying grand slam, and George Springer delivered a walk-off hit in the 10th inning as the host Houston Astros claimed a wild 11-10 victory Sunday over the Los Angeles Angels in the rubber match of a three-game series at Minute Maid Park. The Astros, who rallied from a 7-2 deficit in the fifth to tie the game at 8-8 on Gurriel's slam in the sixth, were forced to rally again in the eighth after Angels center fielder Mike Trout delivered his second home run of the game, a two-run shot, in the top of that frame to make it 10-8.

Dos Santos powers Mexico to eighth Gold Cup title

Mexico's Jonathan dos Santos scored in the 73rd minute to give his side a 1-0 win over the United States in the CONCACAF Gold Cup final on Sunday. The victory over the defending champions at Chicago's Soldier Field earned Mexico a record-extending eighth title at the biennial tournament, which crowns the continental champions of North America, Central America and the Caribbean.

Angels C Lucroy carted off field following collision

Jonathan Lucroy was carted off the field in the eighth inning of the Los Angeles Angels' 11-10 loss to the host Houston Astros on Sunday after being injured in a collision with Jake Marisnick at home plate. At 5:54 p.m. CST, the Angels tweeted Lucroy was being transported to a hospital for a CT scan and will be evaluated for a nose fracture and possible concussion.

Haley wins red-flagged Coke Zero Sugar 400 at Daytona

Justin Haley, making just his third career start in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series, took advantage of crazy, stormy weather in central Florida on Sunday and won the Coke Zero Sugar 400 at Daytona International Speedway. Haley, driving for tiny Spire Motorsports, earned his first victory after the race was red flagged due to lightning in the area with 127 of the scheduled 160 laps completed.
