Dodgers P Stripling (biceps) lands on IL

The Los Angeles Dodgers placed right-hander Ross Stripling on the 10-day injured list because of right biceps tendinitis. Stripling (4-4, 3.64 ERA) threw 62 pitches over five innings against the Los Angeles Angels on Wednesday before leaving with a stiff neck that affected his velocity and mechanics, which likely led to the biceps problems, manager Dave Roberts said.

The Dodgers recalled right-handed reliever Jaime Schultz from Triple-A Oklahoma City. He pitched three scoreless innings in three appearances for Los Angeles in April. He has a 5.66 ERA in 35 innings for Oklahoma City. The Dodgers have not announced a starter for Tuesday in what would have been Stripling's spot in the rotation.
