Vikings WR Thielen (hamstring) ruled out vs. Redskins

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen will not play in Thursday night's game against the Washington Redskins, the team announced Wednesday. The sixth-year pro was listed as "out" with a hamstring injury on the Vikings' final injury report.
Earlier this week, head coach Mike Zimmer was optimistic that Thielen would be able to return to action after sustaining the injury last Sunday. The receiver was unable to practice, however. Thielen, who has not missed a game in six seasons, injured his hamstring while catching a 25-yard touchdown pass in the first quarter of Sunday's 42-30 win against the Detroit Lions. He did not return.
A Pro Bowl selection in each of the last two seasons, Thielen has 27 catches for 391 yards and six touchdowns in seven games in 2019. His six receiving scores are tied for the NFL lead with Tampa Bay's Chris Godwin. Thielen, 29, had appeared in 87 straight games (90 including playoffs) since making his Vikings debut as an undrafted free agent in 2014.
