Redskins sign S Everett to extension

The Washington Redskins signed safety Deshazor Everett to a three-year contract extension on Sunday. The team did not disclose financial terms of the deal.

Everett, the special teams captain, originally was signed by the Redskins to the practice squad in 2015. A product of Texas A&M, Everett, 27, has appeared in 62 regular-season games (11 starts) and has 82 tackles, two interceptions, seven passes defensed and one forced fumble.
