Xiaomi Mi A2 smartphone launched today in India

The smartphone is the successor of the Mi A1 launched last year in India and is being launched in partnership with Google.

Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi today launched its second generation of Android One device, the Mi A2, in India and the pre-orders for the smartphone will begin on 9 August on mi.com and Amazon India. Mi A2 was first launched at a global event in Madrid, Spain on July 24.

The smartphone is the successor of the Mi A1 launched last year in India and is being launched in partnership with Google. Mi India also tweeted that all the units of Mi A2 sold in India will be manufactured in India to strengthen the company's Make In India commitment.

Mi A2 is currently available in India in the 4GB RAM + 64GB ROM variant and will go on sale from August 16. Xiaomi India chief Manu Jain also announced that the 6GB + 128 GB ROM variant will be available shortly in India.
