Redmi K40/K40 Pro price leaked ahead of Feb 25 launch

The Redmi K40 series will go official in China on February 25. Ahead of the official launch, the key specifications and pricing of the upcoming smartphones - Redmi K40 and Redmi K40 Pro - have surfaced online.

As per the latest leak (via), the Redmi K40 6GB+128GB base model will carry a price tag of CNY 2,199 (approx. Rs 24,600) while the Redmi K40 Pro 8GB+128GB will be priced at CNY 3,199 (approx. Rs 35,800).

  • 8GB+128GB - CNY2,399( approx. Rs 26,900)

Redmi K40 Pro

Redmi K40/K40 Pro: Specs and features

The Redmi K40 series, as confirmed by the company, will feature a 120Hz Samsung E4 AMOLED panel with a central punch-hole - claimed to be the smallest punch-hole in the world - for the selfie camera.

The processors will be paired with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of onboard storage. Both devices will boot Android 11.

On the camera front, the series will come with an AI triple rear camera setup with the Pro variant featuring a 108MP main sensor.

Further, recent leaks suggest that the Redmi K40 will be backed by a 4,500mAh battery while the Pro model will be equipped with a bigger 5,000mAh battery. Both devices will support fast-charging.

Update: In a teaser poster, Redmi has given a first look at the rear panel design of the Redmi K40 as the official launch draws closer.
