Jharkhand-based edtech firm BasicFirst Learning on Tuesday announced an exclusive partnership with Softbank Group-backed Riiid Labs to deliver AI-powered personalised test preparation solutions for JEE and NEET exams. The company expects a multifold increase in its revenue with overseas and domestic expansion. ''The partnership will enable BasicFirst to deploy personalised tools, applications, and content recommendations enabled with artificial intelligence (AI) that will help students identify their unique strengths and work on the weaknesses.
"Through such advanced tech-enabled offerings, BasicFirst is eyeing to capture USD 50 million in the next three years,'' BasicFirst Learning founder and CEO Randhir Kumar said in a statement. Kumar said that every year over 3 million students appear for JEE and NEET exams in the country and the company is focusing on bringing student-centric solutions. ''We expect our collective efforts to make a major leap in providing personalised learning experiences. We believe this partnership also has a potential to generate a great deal of market opportunities in India,'' Riiid Labs CEO David Yi said. Collectively, BasicFirst and Riiid Labs will develop an AI-powered test-assessment solution that will be accessible through the web, iOS, and Android. BasicFirst at present has over 150 experienced teachers instructors. The company has announced plans to hire 1,000 people by the end of 2021 across marketing, sales, and technical profiles.
It plans to onboard over 100 engineers in the technology team located in Kirkland, US, and Bengaluru. Further, the startup intends to ramp up its hiring in overseas markets including the US, UAE, and Singapore, with over 100 opportunities.
