Nokia partners with NTT to deploy private wireless networks across Thailand

Nokia has joined forces with NTT Ltd. to deploy private wireless network solutions at multiple enterprise business parks across Thailand, enabling automation, robotics, and other digital transformation use cases across sectors.
The partnership will focus on creating an agile environment for Thai enterprises and industries, enabling businesses to take full advantage of Industrial loT, Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in order to boost productivity, operational efficiency, and worker safety while reducing costs.

Digital transformation is increasingly seen by industry as a means to achieve business growth and sustainability goals. This agreement, spanning Nokia wireless, software, and infrastructure, is designed to accelerate the implementation and adoption of Industry 4.0 applications and use cases across Thai enterprises," said Ajay Sharma, Head of Thailand and Cambodia at Nokia.
Private wireless networks deliver reliable high bandwidth wireless connectivity and low latency essential to Industry 4.0 applications. Additionally, they provide robust security, flawless 24/7 availability, and performance for mission-critical applications.
Under this partnership, Nokia will deploy a range of networking solutions including:
- Nokia Digital Automation Cloud (DAC)
- Network automation and industrial digitalization edge platform: MX Industrial Edge (MXIE).
Thai enterprises will get access to a suite of as-a-service digital technologies that enable use cases such as digital twins to monitor the network and manage devices, video analytics and machine vision with real-time video and IoT streams, pre-integrated industrial devices and a catalog of applications, Nokia said in a press release on Wednesday.
Commenting on this partnership, Sutas Kongdumrongkiat, Chief Executive Officer of NTT Ltd. In Thailand, said, "We're very excited to expand our partnership with Nokia and deploy the private wireless networks across multiple enterprise business parks in Thailand. This joint initiative will provide Thai industry access to the most advanced 5G technology and applications, enabling automation, robotics, and digital transformation solutions that drive productivity and efficiency, and keep workers safe."
