OnePlus Open gets support for eSIM with latest update

The OnePlus Open is receiving a new software update, labelled OxygenOS 13.2.0.116, in the India region that brings camera and performance improvements and a couple of bug fixes. The update also adds support for eSIM.

• Improves system stability.
• Improves system performance.
• Fixes a slow response issue that might occur when you tap and hold a friend's profile photo in WeChat on the cover screen.
• Fixes an issue where the Eraser tool in Photos might not respond to your taps.

Communication

• Adds support for eSIM.

Camera

• Increases the clarity of photos taken at higher zoom ratios with the telephoto camera.
• Improves the tone and color accuracy of photos taken in Photo and Pro mode.

As always, this OTA update is rolling out incrementally and will reach a small percentage of users today. A broader rollout will commence in a few days if no critical bugs are found.

The OnePlus Open was launched globally in October 2023 and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. The handset comes with a 7.82-inch 2K Flexi-fluid AMOLED display with up to 120Hz refresh rate and is backed by a 4,800mAh battery. In terms of optics, the device has a triple rear camera setup (48+64+48MP) and a 20MP selfie camera on the front.
