Chrome now provides more helpful search suggestions

Google is rolling out three new features in Chrome to help you find the information (and inspiration) you need, faster.

"Sometimes when you browse, you're not sure exactly what you're looking for. Today we're releasing three new features in Chrome to give you that boost of inspiration," Google said.

With the latest update, when you open a new tab on your desktop, Chrome will provide suggestions in the Google Search box related to your previous searches based on similar things that others are looking for. For instance, if you recently searched for "Japchae", you might see suggestions for other popular Korean dishes.

Until now, Chrome used to display images for search suggestions in the address bar that matched a specific product you were looking for. However, now on Android and iOS devices, Chrome will show helpful images for broader shopping categories and products based on a simpler search term. For example, if you search for "bohemian table," you will see relevant images of products in that category like "bohemian table runner", "bohemian table lamp" and more.

Lastly, Chrome on Android and iOS now has improved on-device capabilities that will give you search suggestions even when your internet connection is poor. This means you'll also get more helpful suggestions when you're in Incognito Mode.
