Copilot in OneDrive to transform the way you interact with files; will be available in late April

Microsoft plans to release its AI-powered chatbot "Copilot" for OneDrive in late April 2024. With Copilot in OneDrive, you can retrieve information and find your files with unparalleled ease.

Copilot in OneDrive provides you with a quick and intuitive way to extract answers from your documents, presentations, spreadsheets, and other files. With simple prompts like "What were the total beverage sales last week? Put response in a table view by day", you can fetch what you need from your files. By giving you instant access to information contained deep within your files, it helps you save time.

With Copilot in OneDrive, you can:

• Get information and insights from your files
• Find files using natural language
• Create outlines, tables, and FAQs from your content
• Improve content
• Generate summaries of one or multiple files, including PDFs

Starting next month, you will be able to include quick summaries when sharing documents. This capability to share summaries will initially be available when sharing a Word document from the web, with support in the desktop client and the mobile app coming later this year.

Copilot in OneDrive will be accessible directly in OneDrive for the web and also from the file viewer in Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint. It will also be available for work and school customers with a Copilot for Microsoft 365 license.

Copilot for Microsoft 365 and Copilot in OneDrive support English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, Spanish, and Chinese (Simplified). Over March and April, we expect to add support for Arabic, Chinese (Traditional), Czech, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, Hebrew, Hungarian, Korean, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Swedish, Thai, Turkish, and Ukrainian.
