OxygenOS' AI Eraser effortlessly removes unwanted elements from your pictures

OnePlus has introduced OxygenOS' First AI feature, an AI Eraser that makes the process of removing unwanted elements from your pictures a breeze.

Leveraging advanced artificial intelligence (AI) technology, the AI Eraser quickly identifies and removes unwanted elements - whether an unwanted passer-by, an obstructive object, or any other distraction - from your photos, saving you precious time and effort. The tool effortlessly cleans up your photos, leaving behind nothing but picture-perfect memories.

To use the OxygenOS' AI Eraser tool:

1. Open the gallery and select the image you want to edit.
2. Click Edit > AI Eraser.
3. Choose between "Smart lasso" or "Paint over" to operate.
   • Smart lasso allows you to easily draw a circle around the object, prompting the system to identify and remove it entirely.
   • Paint over enables the manual elimination of objects using an appropriate brush size, providing a natural and effortless way to enhance your photos.

OxygenOS' AI Eraser is now available in select markets, including Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, India, Mexico, and the Philippines. It is expected to be rolled out gradually to other OnePlus devices, including the OnePlus 12, OnePlus 12R, OnePlus 11, OnePlus Open, and OnePlus Nord CE 4.

Currently, AI Eraser can be used up to 400 times per day, equating to roughly 2 hours of continuous use.
