US STOCKS SNAPSHOT-Wall St nearly flat at open after hot inflation data

Wall Street's main indexes were little changed on Tuesday as investors assessed stronger-than-expected producer prices data and awaited Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell's speech later in the day.

The S&P 500 opened lower by 0.32 points, or 0.01%, at 5,221.10, while the Nasdaq Composite gained 2.92 points, or 0.02%, to 16,391.16 at the opening bell.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 35.25 points, or 0.09%, at the open to 39,466.76.
