AWS and Tamil Nadu's iTNT Hub Launch AI Startup Programme
Amazon Web Services (AWS) has partnered with Tamil Nadu Technology (iTNT) Hub to launch a generative artificial intelligence startup programme. The initiative aims to foster innovation in AI and deep-tech sectors, offering industry collaboration, mentorship, and funding opportunities to startups. Each eligible startup will receive up to USD 10,000 in AWS credits.

Amazon Web Services (AWS) has joined forces with Tamil Nadu Technology (iTNT) Hub to unveil a new generative artificial intelligence startup hub programme, designed to foster innovation in the AI and deep-tech sectors.
The initiative was launched during the 'Generative AI Startup-Venture Capital' event held in Chennai, where industry leaders gathered to discuss the future of AI.
Positioned within Anna University, Chennai, iTNT Hub is a public-private ecosystem supported by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) and the Tamil Nadu government. This program aims to bring together startups, academia, and industry to build public sector-focused solutions using generative AI.
The initiative provides mentorship to startup founders from over 570 engineering colleges affiliated with Anna University, fostering research opportunities and industry collaboration. Startups will receive sector-specific guidance, funding, and AWS credits worth up to USD 10,000.
Sunil PP, Lead - Channels and Alliances, Public Sector at AWS India, emphasized the objective to nurture a strong community in generative AI and accelerate public sector innovation. Vanitha Venugopal, CEO of iTNT Hub, highlighted the collaboration's potential to harness Tamil Nadu's tech capabilities, supporting the development of citizen-driven AI solutions.
