CrowdStrike's Falcon Sensor software caused Microsoft's Windows systems to crash, displaying the infamous 'Blue Screen of Death.' An alert from CrowdStrike outlined a manual workaround, sent at 0530 GMT on Friday.

'The damage to business processes at the global level is dramatic,' said Omer Grossman, CIO at CyberArk. He explained that the glitch was due to a recent software update. Due to the crash, remote updates are impossible, requiring days of manual fixes.
