IT companies are beginning to recover from a recent slump and are ramping up their hiring efforts. According to a report from Indeed, the recruitment surge is expected to witness an 8.5 per cent increase in job roles within the industry by next year.
The report specifically noted a growing demand for skilled IT talent following a slow period in late last year and early this year. Nearly 70 per cent of all tech jobs currently posted on Indeed are software roles, driven largely by the rapid adoption of technologies like AI, machine learning, and blockchain.
Indeed's data further revealed that companies are prioritizing roles such as Application Developer, Software Engineer, and Full-Stack Developer. Continuous updates, security patches, and new features in existing software are also driving a steady demand for developers who can keep pace with evolving technological advancements.
