The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is making a highly anticipated return to Macau after a decade-long hiatus. The mixed martial arts promotion has scheduled a fight night event on November 23, marking its fourth event in the special administrative region of China.
The UFC last hosted an event in Macau back in August 2014. "We are ecstatic to be back at this incredible destination city," remarked Kevin Chang, UFC's senior vice president and head of Asia.
The upcoming event will take place at Galaxy Arena, Macau's largest indoor stadium, which can accommodate up to 16,000 spectators. UFC has also staged events in Chinese cities such as Shanghai, Beijing, and Shenzhen and launched an MMA training center in Shanghai in June 2019.
