The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) has teamed up with Johnson Controls-Hitachi Air Conditioning India Ltd to unveil a new startup incubator in Gujarat. This endeavor marks a significant stride in bolstering India's manufacturing sector by aiding startups in the development and commercialization of innovative products.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed under the leadership of DPIIT Director Sumeet Jarangal and Johnson Controls-Hitachi Managing Director Sanjay Sudhakaran, with DPIIT Joint Secretary Sanjiv present. The initiative aligns with India's 'design in India, design for the world' vision, aiming to create a thriving ecosystem of startups to drive industrial innovation.
The incubator is set to offer comprehensive support to manufacturing startups, focusing on areas such as prototype development, project viability, and market strategies. By providing mentorship, funding management, and access to a world-class Global Design Center, it promises to nurture and propel startup innovations to new heights.
