Homegrown Startup uBreathe Eyes Rs 24 Crore for Air Purifier Expansion

uBreathe, a biotech startup supported by IIT Ropar, announced plans on Saturday to raise Rs 24 crore in new funding to expand its air purifier range. The funds will fuel the growth and development of uBreathe's locally developed six purifiers.
The company recently closed a pre-seed funding round of nearly Rs 1.5 crore, drawing in investors such as IIT Ropar, US-based VC Galaxy Fund, and figures like Namita Thapar and Gajendra, co-founder of Cars24, who participated as angel investors.
With over 5,000 units sold across 15 cities, uBreathe recently unveiled its latest innovation, the uBreathe Life, a plant-based air purifier developed with plant care leader Ugaoo. The product has passed rigorous tests at NABL Labs, IIT Kanpur, and IIT Bombay.
