In a significant software update, Apple has launched iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1, and macOS Sequoia 15.1, introducing its eagerly awaited Apple Intelligence features. Nevertheless, in an unexpected turn, EU customers must wait for these new features, as they are currently available only in most global regions with devices configured to US English settings, as reported by GSM Arena.
While Mac users in the European Union can access Apple Intelligence on macOS Sequoia 15.1, iPhone and iPad users are momentarily excluded. The tech giant, however, assures that these functionalities will be available to EU users by April 2024.
Apple's rollout will include innovative features such as advanced Writing Tools, Genmoji, a redesigned Siri, and integration with ChatGPT. The company remains careful in its approach amidst the EU's stringent Digital Markets Act and scrutiny from EU officials.
