Apple announced this week a commitment to invest $500 billion in the United States over the next four years. The company's ambitious plan includes construction of artificial intelligence server facilities in Texas and the creation of 20,000 jobs focused on research and development.

The move is seen as a political gesture toward former President Donald Trump's administration, during which Apple has secured waivers on certain tariffs for its products assembled in China. Apple's past and ongoing investments have heavily bolstered the U.S. economy, reminiscent of a previous $350 billion contribution pledge made in 2018.

Many of Apple’s products are assembled outside the U.S., but key components are manufactured domestically. The tech giant is set to expand its Advanced Manufacturing Fund from $5 billion to $10 billion, aiding domestic production of advanced silicon, particularly at TSMC's Arizona factory.
